Resource security is rapidly emerging as a defining issue for Queensland’s long-term economic resilience, investment confidence and regional prosperity. Against a backdrop of global supply chain volatility and shifting geopolitical dynamics, there is increasing focus on how Australia reduces reliance on constrained international fuel corridors and strengthens sovereign capability.

Hosted by Consult Australia, this exclusive Boardroom Luncheon will bring together a select group of senior leaders from government and industry to examine how today’s policy and delivery environment can shape Queensland’s resource security over the next 20 years.

As keynote guest, Graham Fraine will provide insights into current priorities across resources, manufacturing and regional development in Queensland. The discussion will consider how levers such as regulatory settings, approvals pathways, market capacity and initiatives such as increasing fuel sovereignty can be used to support long-term supply resilience and position Queensland to meet future demand with greater certainty.

This member-only event is designed to facilitate practical, forward-looking dialogue. It will explore how decisions being made now are influencing future resource capacity, and how government and industry can better align to deliver a more secure, efficient and resilient resources system for Queensland and Australia.

Held under the Chatham House Rule, the luncheon is intentionally small and highly focused, enabling a candid exchange of perspectives in a private boardroom setting.

This is a valuable opportunity to contribute to a strategic conversation on Queensland’s resource future and the settings required to support sustainable growth, investment confidence and greater energy and fuel security over the long term.
