Novation - Business Guide

This Business Guide is for internal use by Consult Australia member businesses. The guide provides information of novation of contracts and key considerations where a consultant is novated from a principal to a contractor. There are different scenarios where a consultant may be novated, e.g. from a client to a sub-contractor, or from a contractor back to the principal, or from a developer to an incorporated joint venture or special purpose vehicle. The principles set out in this business guide are relevant across the different scenarios.
