With water infrastructure a major area of investment in South Australia, SA Water’s CEO, David Ryan, will outline SA Water’s infrastructure priorities and plans for 2025 and beyond. Joining David for this special water infrastructure industry forum will be the CEO of the Department for Environment and Water, Ben Bruce.
Ben and David will discuss sustainability in water resource planning, greenhouse mission reduction plans that relate to water infrastructure planning and construction, sustainable development of South Australia’s natural resources and heritage and SA’s climate change actions.

Ben Bruce
CEO of Department for Environment and Water
Ben Bruce was appointed on the 12 December 2023 as the Chief Executive of the Department for Environment and Water.
Some of Ben’s career highlights include establishing and leading the State’s whole of Government drought response program during South Australia’s worst drought in recorded history, playing a lead role in the creation and establishment of the Goyder Institute for Water Research, and playing a key leadership role in the successful management of the 2022-23 River Murray flood event by the South Australian Government.
