FutureNet NSW: Warringah Freeway Upgrade - Project Overview and Site Walk

The Warringah Freeway Upgrade is a major city-shaping project, modernising a critical 4km corridor to improve traffic flow, public transport, and safety. It reconfigures lanes and interchanges, enhances bus and active transport options, and prepares the network for future projects like the Western Harbour Tunnel.

Recognised for its outstanding delivery, the project was awarded the Collaboration for Project Excellence winner for the 2025–26 Consult Australia Awards for Excellence.

Commonly referred to by the project team as the heart surgery of infrastructure, maintaining traffic flow for the 150,000 vehicles which use the freeway each day during construction presents significant challenges. CPB DT Infrastructure Joint Venture Project Director, Steven Clark, will share insights into how the team is safely delivering the upgrade while keeping one of Sydney’s busiest corridors operational.

The presentation will be followed by an exclusive site visit, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the works in progress. Attendees will be split into four staggered groups, each guided by a member of the project team across key areas of the site.

A light breakfast will be provided.
