The Consultant Contract (condensed) is a double-sided 1-page version of the Consultant Contract (with all the same contract clauses). It is a concise agreement for use in the engagement of professional services between a client and a consultant. The Subconsultant Contract (condensed) is a double-sided 1-page version of the Subconsultant Contract (with all the same contract clauses). It is a concise agreement for use in the engagement of professional services between a lead consultant and a subconsultant.


TERMS AND CONDITIONS SPECIFIC TO CONTRACT:

(1) The Consult Australia Consultant Contract contains guideline terms of contract only. Consultants (whether members of the Consult Australia or not) and prospective clients are free to negotiate terms on any basis whatsoever, including bases which are not at all related to the terms of the Consult Australia Consultant Contract.

(2) Although the practice of associations publishing standard contracts is authorised by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, the particular provisions of the Consult Australia Consultant Contract have not been the subject of any authorisation or approval by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

(3) Parties intending to use the Consult Australia Consultant Contract should seek expert advice as to their rights and obligations under any and all relevant legislation, including any limits on forms of contract. This includes, but is not limited to; security of payment legislation, the Australian Consumer Law and home building legislation.

(4) The Advisory Note accompanying the Consult Australia Consultant Contract is general advisory and should not be read as providing legal advice on any matter.
