With a number of exciting projects in the pipeline over the next few years, we welcome you to join us for a special Boardroom Luncheon with Ben Zammit, Deputy Chief Executive at the South Australian Department for Energy & Mining and BHP.
Ben will provide an update on key energy and mining initiatives underway and their work to facilitate a pipeline of new exploration, mining and energy generation and storage projects across the state.
At this event you will also hear from Jeremy Milne, Head of Corporate Affairs SA, BHP, on the outlook for copper, their significant Copper SA operations in South Australia, and their infrastructure related partnerships in SA including rail logistics and the Northern Water Project.

Ben Zammit
Deputy Chief Executive at the South Australian Department for Energy
Benjamin Zammit’s 20 years of experience in the environmental policy and management sector have set the background for his current role as Deputy Chief Executive, Copper at the Department for Energy and Mining (DEM), South Australia.
Benjamin’s focus includes coordinating the opportunity for the expansion of the South Australian Copper province and the proposed Northern Water project present to the prosperity of South Australia.
Prior to his current role Benjamin held the position of Executive Director, Regulation and Compliance which saw him responsible for regulatory frameworks that delivers sustainable development and service standards with technical, safety, social and environmental expectations for the resources and renewable sector. This includes providing policy development, advocacy, and advice to continually improve productivity, efficiency, and environmental responsibility for responsible mineral exploration for the low carbon future.
Benjamin holds Bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Science as well as a MBA from the University of Adelaide. Throughout his career he has worked in environmental and science and industry development roles delivering sustainable projects.

Jeremy Milne
Head of Corporate Affairs, South Australia | BHP Copper SA
Jeremy joined BHP in 2017 and was appointed Head of Corporate Affairs for Copper SA in April 2024, leading BHP’s government engagement, community partnerships, stakeholder relationships, media and communications in South Australia in close collaboration with BHP’s Indigenous Engagement team. Before his current role, Jeremy was BHP’s Manager Media Australia for five years and prior to that led media and communications for Olympic Dam. Jeremy has nearly 20 years of experience in corporate affairs, government relations, media and communications, including previous roles with News Corp and Santos.
